“A Little Snail Boy in London”
《蜗牛小男孩在伦敦》是一部行为艺术短片，影片通过孩子纯真的视角感受和探索世界，并以充满童趣的方式展现，述说着一个蜗牛小男孩远离家乡，踏入充满机遇与挑战的伦敦，渴望在这座城市生根的故事。然而，他很快发现，伦敦并非如他所想象的那样美好，而是充满了生活的压力和不确定性。
该片服装内衬采用艺术家从中国收集的报纸，寓意着艺术家的背景。而外层报纸则来自艺术家在伦敦地铁和公交车上收集的报纸，经过重塑和拼贴处理。艺术家还收集了日常的收据，使作品更贴近日常生活。
此项目旨在反映英国多变的移民政策，以及伦敦的生活压力和潜在的犯罪风险。
“A Little Snail Boy in London” is a short film of performance art, the film experiences and explores the world through a child’s innocent perspective, and presents it in a childlike way. Film tolds the story of a young snail boy venturing away from his hometown into the bustling and challenging environment of London, with aspirations to establish roots in this city. However, he quickly discovers that London is not the idyllic place he imagined, but rather filled with the pressures and uncertainties of life.
The costume in the film features an inner lining made from newspapers collected by the artist from China, symbolising the artist’s background. The outer layer of newspapers is sourced from London’s subway and buses, reshaped and collaged by the artist. Additionally, the artist collects everyday receipts to bring the artwork closer to daily life.
This project aims to reflect the ever-changing immigration policies of the UK, as well as the life pressures and potential risks of crime in London.
